This Privacy Policy explains how locallytrusted.org ("we", "our", "us") handles information in connection with the locallytrusted.org directory.

What this site is

locallytrusted.org is a business directory. Listings display information sourced from publicly available Google Business Profile (GBP) data. We do not collect information directly from businesses, and businesses have not paid for, or consented to, inclusion.

Visitor data we collect

Our hosting infrastructure logs standard web request data when you visit a page. This includes your IP address, the URL requested, timestamp, browser user-agent string, and referrer — the same data any web server records by default. This data is handled by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) in accordance with their own privacy practices.

We do not use third-party analytics platforms, set cookies, or transmit visitor data to any third party.

How we use visitor data

We use traffic data to understand how the directory is used — for example, which listing pages receive visits. We do not sell, rent, or share visitor data with third parties.

Business information displayed

All business information shown on this site — names, addresses, phone numbers, categories, ratings, and review text — is sourced from Google Business Profile, a publicly available data source. We do not fabricate, embellish, or editorially alter business data. Every claim on a listing page traces directly to a GBP data field or a verbatim customer review.

Your rights

This website is operated from Queensland, Australia, and is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Australian visitors may have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the right to seek access to and correction of personal information held about them. As this site does not independently store personal information beyond standard infrastructure logs managed by our hosting provider, there is minimal personal data held by us directly. Data retention

Standard web server request logs are managed by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) in accordance with their own data retention policies. We do not independently store or maintain copies of web request logs. We retain any data we hold only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies. We do not use session cookies, analytics cookies, or any persistent tracking mechanisms.
